We want to keep
America beautiful and clean. So, how do we do that?
First of all, be a leader. Always set a good example
for friends and family by not littering. Recycle
anything and everything that you can. Talk with your
parents about ways to clean up your neighborhood,
schools and parks. Preventing pollution, reducing
waste, recycling, and conserving energy are all very
important things to do. Show others that you really
care about the environment and keeping the earth
healthy.
You can also do some things with your school,
neighborhood or family to make your community not
only healthier but more beautiful. Planting trees
and flowers is a great place to start. Trees are not
only pretty, but they serve many useful purposes.
Trees produce oxygen, provide a place for birds to
live, remove carbon dioxide from the air which helps
fight global warming, and they provide a nice source
of shade on hot summer days!
