The 3 R's... Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. I think that most people are familiar with those words whether or not they actually put it into practice on a daily basis. Years ago people tossed anything and everything into the trash. We thought nothing of tossing glass bottles, plastic bottles, newspapers right into the trash! Much of that changed in the 1980s when many cities nationwide implemented curbside recycling programs. Recycling became a normal part of the daily routine for many during that time. Even children became familiar with recycling. The Reduce, Reuse, Recycle curriculum became part of the education children received in schools.  Educating children to be earth friendly, to think "green" or whatever term you choose to use is key in keeping this world healthy.
