Well, National
Geographic has done it once again. They have
developed another fabulous website for children,
http://www.mywonderfulworld.org/index.html, focusing
primarily on geography but continuing to emphasize
the importance of preserving the wonderful world in
which we live. The site helps children to
understand people around the world and different
cultures, as well as the environments in which other
people live.
As you would expect from National
Geographic, there is a great emphasis on animals and
the preservation of nature. There is a games and
adventure section for children that touches on
topics ranging from pollution and overfishing to
greenhouse gases and climate change all presented in
a fun, interactive and entertaining format for
kids. National Geographic has developed yet another
tool to help us educate our children in the
importance of earth friendly behaviors. Who said
being eco-friendly had to be boring? |
