Hello friends!
It
was a trip to Italy in May of 2007 that was the inspiration for
this website. We had always dreamed of traveling to Europe.
Our
dream was finally realized in celebration of our 25th wedding
anniversary. We were fortunate enough to travel through Rome,
Florence, Venice and Pisa.
What an eye opening experience! Okay,
we love the good old United States of America, but we really
have some work to do to catch up with the environmentally
friendly ways of Italy. I have never seen so many SMALL cars!
 Motor scooters were everywhere! Business men and women ride
their scooters to work and it seems that Italians also enjoy
walking. Not only
are they being earth friendly, the people of Italy also looked very healthy and
fit!
We could not get home fast enough to sell our big SUV!
Don’t get
us wrong, we have always recycled and tried to do
our part to be earth friendly.
This trip, however, inspired us
to become more aware of the
simple things we can do everyday to be more “green”.
Green Earth Friends is dedicated to helping everyone on this
planet become more earth friendly! We will not push
any political agenda. This is not about politics. It's about
respecting our planet. Our vision is to be a social network where
everyone can share earth friendly tips, information and ideas.
